SBI Card MILES ELITE is the flagship of SBI Card's three card MILES family, built for travellers who do not want to be locked into one airline. It earns 6 Travel Credits per Rs. 200 on travel spends and 2 per Rs. 200 on other eligible purchases. Travel Credits are flexible: they convert to air miles or hotel points with more than 20 partners, several at a 1:1 ratio where 1 credit is worth Rs. 1, or can be used for travel bookings at Rs. 0.50 each and catalogue products at Rs. 0.25 each. A welcome gift of 5,000 Travel Credits on Rs. 1 lakh of spends in 60 days and a milestone of 20,000 bonus credits at Rs. 12 lakh of annual spends reward heavy users. Travel comforts are well covered with 8 domestic lounge visits a year, 6 international visits a year on a complimentary Priority Pass membership, and an extra domestic lounge visit for every Rs. 1 lakh spent, up to 15 more a year. The forex markup is a low 1.99 percent and the card carries travel insurance including air accident cover of Rs. 1 crore and flight cancellation cover. The catch is the fee math: the Rs. 4,999 annual fee is reversed only at Rs. 15 lakh of annual spends, so the card suits genuinely high spenders. It is issued on both Mastercard and RuPay, and the RuPay variant can be linked to UPI.
