Best Travel Credit Cards in India
Travel cards promise miles, lounge access and low forex markup, but the value lives in conversion rates, caps and conditions. A mile is worth only what you can actually redeem it for. Every card below carries the travel tag in our audited data, and each review breaks the reward into rupee value next to the fee it must justify.

How to Choose
Convert miles into rupees before comparing. Issuers quote earnings per ₹100 or ₹150 spent, but redemption values vary widely between statement credit, flight bookings on the bank portal and transfers to airline partners. A lower earning rate with a strong transfer partner can beat a higher rate locked into a poor portal. Our detailed reviews state the effective return so you can compare in rupees, not in miles.
Price the forex markup honestly. On international trips, the markup on every transaction, plus 18% GST on that markup, can quietly exceed the rewards earned. A card with a low or zero markup often saves more abroad than a generous miles card with a high markup. If most of your travel spending is overseas, sort by the forex line before the reward line.
Finally, check the travel conditions that change quietly: quarterly caps on accelerated miles, lounge visits linked to previous quarter spends, and milestone vouchers that expire. Premium travel cards carry premium fees, so the card must win on your real itinerary, not on the brochure. Use the Compare tool on your top two choices and read the MITC notes on each review before applying.
