Amazon quietly changed the bank partner of the Great Indian Festival in the middle of the sale. The festival opened on 8 October 2026 with SBI Card as the bank partner, and from midnight on 21 October the Reloaded wave has been running on Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards instead. If you are planning a big purchase this week, the card in your wallet now decides your discount, and the window for this wave is short: the confirmed ICICI Bank terms run only till 27 October 2026.
Here is every confirmed term of the current wave, verified from Amazon India's official announcement and ICICI Bank's own Festive Bonanza page on 22 October 2026.
The current offers, verified
| Offer | Rate | Maximum benefit | Minimum order | Valid till |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ICICI Bank Credit Cards and Credit Card EMI on Amazon | 10% instant discount | Rs 11,250 per card for the whole window | Rs 2,490 | 27 October 2026 |
| Axis Bank Credit Cards and Credit Card EMI on Amazon | 10% instant discount | Cap not published in Amazon's announcement | As per the offer banner on the product page | Current Reloaded wave |
| Everyday Essentials category (bank offer) | Extra 10% discount | Rs 1,250 | Rs 2,490 | Current Reloaded wave |
| Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card | Extra 5% cashback over the regular card cashback | Regular cashback itself is uncapped (5% for Prime, 3% for non-Prime on Amazon) | None stated | Festival period |
Two things in this table deserve a slow read. First, the ICICI cap of Rs 11,250 is per card for the entire offer window, not per order. If you have already taken Rs 6,000 of discount on one ICICI card this week, only Rs 5,250 of headroom is left on that card till 27 October. A second ICICI card, including an add-on family member card where the bank treats it as separate, is a fresh cap in practice, but always read the offer terms on your product page before splitting a large order.
Second, Amazon has not published an end date for the Great Indian Festival itself. The 27 October date above is the confirmed end of this bank offer window, not of the sale. Bank partners and waves have already changed once this season, on 21 October, and they can change again.
How much will you actually save?
| Your order value | ICICI or Axis card discount at 10% | What you effectively pay extra attention to |
|---|---|---|
| Rs 5,000 | Rs 500 | Above the Rs 2,490 minimum, so the ICICI offer applies cleanly |
| Rs 25,000 | Rs 2,500 | Straightforward, well inside the ICICI cap |
| Rs 60,000 | Rs 6,000 | Still inside the cap, but it consumes more than half of it in one order |
| Rs 1,50,000 | Rs 11,250 on ICICI (capped) | The 10% math says Rs 15,000; the cap pays Rs 11,250. Splitting across two cards, where terms allow, is worth checking |
What happened to the SBI Card offer?
The sale opened with SBI Card as the festival bank partner, with 10% instant discount on SBI credit cards, debit cards and credit card EMI. The Reloaded wave that is live right now runs on Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, per Amazon's own updated announcement. If an SBI offer banner still shows on a product page, read its dates carefully before assuming it applies, because the live wave has moved to the new partners.
What is not known yet, stated honestly
No bank or platform has published card offers for Diwali week itself (Dhanteras around 6 November and Diwali on 8 November) as of 22 October 2026. The last confirmed offer window in this sale ends on 27 October. New waves usually get announced a few days before they start, and we will update this page when an official announcement lands. Any site promising you a confirmed Diwali-day card discount today is guessing.
Three tips before you place a big order
1. Prefer the ICICI card if you hold both: its cap and dates are confirmed on the bank's own page, while Amazon's announcement does not publish a separate Axis cumulative cap. 2. The discount works on Credit Card EMI as well, but an EMI converts your purchase into interest and processing charges in most cases. On a 10% discount, a short no-cost EMI keeps the benefit; a standard interest EMI can quietly eat most of it. 3. Prime members holding the Amazon Pay ICICI card earn the extra 5% festival cashback on top of the regular cashback, plus an extra Rs 250 cashback on eligible purchases per Amazon's announcement. For smaller baskets where the instant discount minimum does not bite, this card can quietly beat the 10% route.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the last date of the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026? A: Amazon has not announced an end date for the sale. The current bank offer window (Axis and ICICI cards) is confirmed till 27 October 2026 for ICICI Bank on the bank's own Festive Bonanza page.
Q: Which cards get 10% instant discount on Amazon right now? A: In the Reloaded wave live since 21 October 2026, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank credit cards and credit card EMI transactions get 10% instant discount, per Amazon India's official announcement.
Q: What is the maximum discount with an ICICI Bank card? A: Rs 11,250 per card across the whole offer window, on a minimum purchase of Rs 2,490, till 27 October 2026, as published on ICICI Bank's Festive Bonanza page.
